Mamardashvili saved Lamine Yamal’s free-kick, but Fabián Ruiz headed home from Yamal’s exquisite cross. Spain continued to dominate, with Yamal and Williams orchestrating their attacks.
Although Yamal’s goal was disallowed for offside, Williams made no mistake minutes later, gliding past Giorgi Gvelesiani to score. Dani Olmo added a fourth goal, showcasing a sublime touch and finish. Spain’s comprehensive performance ensured they remained the only team with a perfect record at Euro 2024, setting up an exciting quarter-final clash against hosts Germany.
